With their towering hotels, array of watersports and fantastic nightlife, it is not surprising that these areas are a popular choice with vacation goers from around the globe. Beaches in the area include its marina area which is 1.5 km from the town and at Port Alabe a 15 minute drive. Can be pretty quiet out of season

It would have been nice to see photos of the accommodation, still the descriptions are reasonably detailed but hardly unbiased since they've been written by the property owners themselves. Zurich is known as the centre for many international banks and financial institutions. This charming city has loads to offer travellers looking for a laid back break from everyday life.

Whatever your thoughts on Amsterdam's unique culture, you cannot help but rank it high as a great destination for city break holidays. Avoid ice creams from street stalls.
