Ireland Golf

Many people all around the world are planning on taking a vacation in the near future. Many of these people want to play golf during their trip. There are many golf destinations to choose from. Ireland is one of the greatest golf destinations in the world. There are over three hundred golf courses in Ireland. You will find that there are world renowned courses scattered throughout Ireland. The informal and friendly manner in which the game is played in Ireland makes golfing in Ireland and experience that is unlike any other.

Golf course is filled with golf course. One of those courses is the Ballybunion Golf Club which is located in Ballybunion, Co. Kerry, Ireland. The course was founded in 1893. The Ballybunion Golf Club was designed by Tom Watson. This seventy one par course consists of six thousand six hundred and thirty eight yards. Golf enthusiasts from all around the world travel to this golf course each year. It is one of the top ten courses in all of the world.

Ireland also has the Baltray Golf Club which can be found in Drogheda, Ireland. This is one of the most popular local golf courses in Ireland. The golf course and club was founded in 1893 but it was eventually redesigned with a new layout which was created in 1938. Tom Simpson designed the golf course. The course spans an area of seven thousand and thirty one yards. This is a seventy three par course. The course can just found just thirty file miles north of Dublin and five miles northeast of Drogheda.

The Castlerock Golf Club which was founded in 1901 is located in Castlerock, Co. Derry, Ireland. It was designed by Ben Sayers and Harry Colt. The seventy three par course consists of six thousand seven hundred and forty seven yards. The Castlerock Golf Club is located just a few minutes from Portstewart and Royal Portrush. This is an extremely popular course that is very classic. It is set amid towering dunes.

Founded in 1993 is the European Golf Club which is one of the newest courses in all of Ireland. Pat Ruddy designed the course which is located in Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. The course is a seventy one par course and spans an area of seven thousand one hundred and forty nine total yards. This golf course has become extremely popular in a short period of time. It is one of the finest links golf courses in all of Ireland.

Designed by J. Carr, R. Kirby, E. Hackett and P. Merrigan, the Old Head of Kinsale Golf Club was founded in 1997 and is one of the newest courses in Ireland. The golf course is located in Old Head, Kinsale, Co. Cork, Ireland. The course which spans an area consisting of seven thousand one hundred and twenty one yards is a seventy two par course. Many people say that his golf course is considered by most people to be one of the most amazing golf creations of all time.

Founded in 1889, the Royal Dublin Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in all of Ireland. The course is a seven two par course and consists of seven thousand three hundred and ten yards. The course was designed by H.S. Colt. It is actually the second oldest course in all of Ireland. The course is found in Dollymount approximately five miles northeast of Dublic City along a costal road.
