Ah heavenly

By Mike Dosei

To escape from the reality of what we knew, we took a vacation to look for what was once lost - the scene of the coast rapidly approached - The Sunshine Coast.

Looking back at my youth, of all the years that passed since I was on the coast are gone and the time that was spent with family and friends, the memories were no match for what I could see before my eyes. In respect to the beautiful round glow in the sky, the pristine sandy beaches, and the people of all ages and interests that are enjoying the coast. Within the years that were spent on the coast, they all seem to be the distant memories until we go back.

One summer vacation my family, my brother included, took our vacation at Noosa that year. The time spent their seems to be long ago... but once I shut my eyes I can see each and every detail of what was once the place we stayed The Noosa.

Going underwater, at the Underwater World to see all the fish and sea life with the little ones was an exciting time. Maddy, was one of the seals, and we indeed received a big wet kiss from her each year. As my daughter, "squeeled", with extreme pleasure, not because of the animals but due to how close we were to them. We remembered to capture a picture, of this pleased event, at an extra cost, I might add, but after the glimpse of her face, which was priceless, it was definitely a keeper!

My brother and I were able to surpass everybody and sneak onto the regional golf course, not only to play once, but twice! The greens are so pristine and lavish that we were able to play with ease. I guess this wouldn't be sneaking when we opted to go back for a second time. Some of the things that you do with your siblings are so out of character

The boutiques were my wife and sister-in-law's place to meander... along the local shops downtown purchasing souvenirs for our family back home.

Our stay at Sunshine Coast was an enchanting experience especially because we were able to stay at the Sheraton Noosa. There is one rare find here, it is the beach area; it is the north beach, it is protected by the headland which in turn makes it great for surfing and swimming.

The Sheraton Noosa also had amenities that everyone could enjoy from spa treatments to the pool. The spa treatments of course, were loved by the ladies. The kids enjoyed watching the dolphins from the shores of the beach as well as swimming in the shallow waters of the ocean. When it came to the huge pool, which we spent many hours enjoying, we thought our children were going to sprout gills.

With a drink in hand, the sunset was enjoyed at the Noosa River, which was the way most evenings ended on the Sunshine Coast.

So to sum it up: sunshine golf seals & dolphins shopping surfing spa

With the wind in the distance, the diminishing rays of sun, and the essence of suntan lotion, I think for the first time I can honestly say that everyone enjoyed themselves immensely, which is not an easy task for my family.

If you havent been in a while... it is time... head to the Sunshine Coast and remember what a vacation is!
